Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas

Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas, founded in 2007 in partnership with Ascension Seton and Dell Medical School at the University of Texas, is a leading freestanding pediatric hospital serving Central Texas. It provides an extensive range of pediatric specialty and subspecialty care—including neonatology, cardiology and heart surgery, neurosciences, orthopedics, behavioral health, oncology, and maternal–fetal medicine—and is distinguished as both the only Level I pediatric trauma center and the only comprehensive children's heart center in the region. Since opening, the hospital has grown considerably, with notable expansions such as the South Bed Tower in 2013, the Mental Health Unit in 2018, the Specialty Pavilion in 2021, and the opening of Dell Children’s North in Williamson County in 2023 to serve Austin’s northern suburbs.
